A PRECOCIOUS CHILD OF ‘GLOBAL’ INTERESTS

HYDERABAD. Feb.11.
At three years and nine months. Most children are yet to identify the alphabet properly but Musham Adarsh appears to be way ahead of his age. He can locate contries and islands on the world map the names of which even grow nups will not be aware of.
This precoucious child. Son of Mr. Musham Damodar and Mrs Rekha, is an LKG student of Kotwal’s M0ntessori and primary school. West Marredpally. He gave a demonstration of his talents before presspersons here on Thursday.
Where is Mexico, Mangolia, Egypt. St. Helena, Agra. Tonga. The questions came fast and quick. The answers—rather indentification-was equally swift. With the aid of an indicator little Adarsh pin-pointed the countries on the world map to0 the astonishment of the presspersons, but soon his index finger was there right on the dot.
How did Adarsh develop this ability? No, it is no human beings behind this feast. It is the Discovery Channel which Triggered map-reading interest in Adarsh. The programme on animals migration caught by boy’s fancy and whenever he saw the African continent on TV. he started yelling “Africa”.
“Surprised by his interest we started coaching him and showed him new countries on the Musham Damodar.
map.”said the boy’s parents.
Adarash would sit before the world the world map and quiz everyone. Slowly his momory retention power increased an he would remember the names of countries easily. Later his parents gave him stmps of various countries an islands. Soon the boy could recognise the stamps and tell the countries they belonged to. He had even taken part in the State-level philately Exhibition conducted by the Department of Posts. said Mr.Damodar.
He said his son was also very fond of animals and vehicles. “We plan to have our child enter into the Limca and Guinness Book of Records.” the parents siad.
